Vermicomposting

🌱 Vermicomposting

Turning Waste into Natural Fertilizer
Vermicomposting means using worms to make compost from waste. These special worms eat vegetable peels, dry leaves, and other waste, and turn them into black, soft soil full of nutrients. This compost is very good for farming. It helps plants grow faster and keeps the soil healthy.

What is Vermicompost?

Vermicompost is a natural fertilizer made by earthworms. It has no chemicals. It makes the soil rich and plants strong. Farmers use it instead of chemical fertilizers.

How We Help

Training & Workshops
We teach how to start vermicomposting at home or on the farm. People learn how to prepare the pit, feed the worms, and collect the compost.
Low-Cost Setup
We show how to make a compost pit using old bricks, tubs, or even drums. It does not need much money to start.
Using SHGs for Income
Women in Self Help Groups (SHGs) can do vermicomposting as a group activity. They can sell the compost to farmers or in local markets.
Help with Selling
We also guide how and where to sell the compost so that people can earn money regularly.
